Overview

This article explains how to prepare, activate, and deactivate IVMS 2.0 kits that include a vehicle tracker and camera. If your project requires units to be held ready for deployment, this guide will help you understand the process, billing rules, and key timeframes.

1. Before Installation: Allocation & Clearance

What you need to do:

  • Let Digicore know which kits are assigned to which vehicles.

  • We will perform a clearance step (~2–3 minutes per vehicle) before mobilisation.

?️ Why it matters:
This ensures the units are prepped correctly for activation when you're ready to deploy.

2. Activation & Billing Start

? When does billing start?
Billing starts in the month of activation, regardless of which day activation occurs.

Example: If a unit is activated on 21st May, billing applies for the full month of May.

3. Project Completion & Billing End

? When should I request deactivation?
If your project has a known end date, you can request deactivation of the units at least 5 business days before the end of the month to avoid charges for the next month.

? Key Dates Example:

  • If your project ends 3rd September, you can:

    • Deactivate by 26th August (billing ends August)

    • Or continue through to 25th September (billing ends September)

4. Deactivating IVMS Units

✉️ How do I deactivate a unit?
Submit a request via our Support Ticketing System and dropdown to "Deactivation Request".
All deactivations must be in writing as per your sales agreement.

5. Is Final Billing Pro-Rata?

? No.
Billing is based on a flat monthly rate. There is no pro-rata calculation for partial months.
