Following on from our camera platform upgrade on the 9th July 2024, we have been working closely with our developers to provide some of the features and functionality that was available previously.


Please note: this article is an amended version from our video platform provider. We have simplified and include the changes that relate to the Digicore Dash Cam. Click here to see the release notes for 1.17 x.



1.16.9 (July 4, 2024)

  • Bug Fixes:

    • Resolved an issue causing false speed sign detections.

1.16.8 (June 21, 2024)

  • New Features:

    • Introduced G-Sensor assistance for Jimi devices, including Digicore Dash Cam, where trips will continue if vibrations exceed a threshold, even if the ignition is off. This addresses false ignition state triggers.
  • Bug Fixes:

    • Handled cases where the driver camera was not recognised in certain devices.

1.16.6 (May 28, 2024)

  • Configuration Updates:

    • Deprecated the "mediaUploadMinimumSeverity" config for tailgating in favor of "mediaUploadMaximumTailgatingTTC," improving how tailgating events are handled and media is uploaded.
  • Bug Fixes:

    • Addressed issues where PowerCutAlert and PowerLowAlert events were sometimes not captured and reported on Digicore Dash Cam devices.
    • Resolved a bug in timestamp inscription when the forceTimezone configuration was enabled.
    • Fixed issues with GPS percentage values being reported as negative in trip metrics for some devices.

1.16.5 (May 17, 2024)

  • Bug Fixes:

    • Fixed an issue where push notifications were missed on Digicore Dash Cam devices in some corner cases.
    • Resolved a crash in the lens covered detection module under specific configurations.

1.16.4 (April 19, 2024)

  • New Features:

    • Added isSurveillance key in TripStarted and TripEnded event Kafka messages.
    • Increased the GPS message storage limit in the Kafka Queue to 75,000 messages.
  • Bug Fixes:

    • Corrected issues with false positives in US speed sign detection.
    • Fixed data upload problems following surveillance trip ends.

1.16.2 (March 5, 2024)

  • New Configurations:

    • Introduced options to enable/disable distraction subtypes like long pitch, long yaw, and short pitch.
    • Used accelerometer data to prune false maximum speed limit violations, enhancing accuracy for Digicore Dash Cam devices.
  • Bug Fixes:

    • Fixed corner case crashes in vehicle and traffic light detection.

1.16.1 (February 12, 2024)

  • Bug Fixes:

    • Resolved a crash issue related to speed sign detection in Israel.
    • Fixed a bug in Digicore Dash Cam devices where DVR requests occasionally did not reflect the finished status on the server.
  • Known Issues:

    • Certain Kafka events like Vehicle-Ignition-ON may be missed when ignition is switched on.

1.16.0 (January 16, 2024)

  • New Features:

    • Added new event tracking and health monitoring features, such as DataNotUploadingFixed and LowUploadSpeedsFixed events.
    • Introduced new SD card status alerts for issues like broken or missing SD cards.
    • Increased the DVR file size limit to 400 MB, improving support for larger multi-part uploads.
    • Added the ability for drivers to use QR codes to assign themselves to a trip.
  • Vision System Enhancements:

    • Improved traffic light detection, seatbelt detection, and smoking detection.
    • Enhanced accuracy in time-to-collision (TTC) computation.
  • Bug Fixes:

    • Fixed issues with stale GPS data being sent in live telematics messages.
    • Resolved problems where MDVR cameras were disabled when the driver camera was disabled.
