How to Program NFC Driver FOB via Phone.

  1. Download app called "NFC Tools" by developer Wakdev onto your phone.  It is available both on Google and Apple stores.
  2. Open App and go to “Write”
  3. Click “Add a record” and scroll to the bottom and select “Data”
  4. The first entry is for the Driver ID. In “Content-type” “text” field enter application and in “plain” field enter (vnd.lm.smartcam.androidapp). Then in “Data” field enter in the Driver ID that you are wanting to assign the NFC FOB to. Please note that you can not use any spaces in this field or else the camera will be unable to read the NFC. You can use dashes “-“ or underscore “_” in place of spaces. This Driver ID must be the same as the Driver ID used in the Video Platform.A screenshot of a phone

  5. Click “Add a record” and scroll to the bottom and select “Data”

  9. Once all 3 Data entries have been entered, click “Write” and hold the NFC FOB against phone to have the information written to it.
  10. Click “Read” and scroll to the bottom to make certain that there is Record 1 + 2 + 3 with the correct information in themA screenshot of a phone

  11. Test NFC FOB against turned on camera to see if the camera says “Driver Identified” and starts a new trip. After doing this you should be able to also go to “Trips” on the video platform and once you have ticked “Trivial Trips” and clicked “Search” you should see the driver assigned against a trip
